Fundamentals of Effective Clinical Supervision: Certificate Program
This 9 session virtual bi-weekly certificate program is designed for prospective, new/supervisors-in-training, and experienced supervisors and will provide a critical overview of the conceptual and empirical literature on clinical supervision, including models approaches, techniques, relationships, and process issues. In addition, the course will cover what all clinical supervisors need to know how to engage most effectively, legally, and ethically with their supervisors.
- 9-week session
- Participants will receive a total of 18 CEUs & a certificate in clinical supervision upon completion of the course
- All materials are included and provided via Google Docs and/or email. Attendees need access to Google, so a Gmail address is recommended.
- Define & compare the different types of supervision
- Discuss the aim, intent, & impact of clinical supervision
- Understand the legal, ethical, & professional standards for clinical supervision
- Explore relevant literature & best practices
- Attendees will develop conceptual knowledge, skills, & self-awareness concerning the above topic areas through reading & discussions
