ABOUT ME:
What led me to this work is both personal and professional. I lost my best friend to gun violence—an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of trauma, grief, and the long road to healing. Over the past 18 years, I’ve worked with survivors of violence and families coping with profound loss, which has fueled my commitment to creating compassionate, affirming spaces for healing and resilience.
As a Black woman with roots in Christianity, I bring an intersectional lens to therapy—one that honors the complexity of identity, systemic injustice, and the power of culturally responsive care. I’m a feminist, a dog lover, and a firm believer that joy and healing can coexist.
Outside of therapy, music is one of my greatest sources of grounding and joy. Depending on my mood, you’ll find me listening to gospel, R&B, old-school steppers, or hip hop—especially when I’m cleaning or dancing around the house. Music helps me reconnect with my spirit and shift my mindset.
One book I return to often is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Its message about trusting the journey, even when it’s uncertain, speaks to both my life and my work. I hold that same belief for my clients—your path is uniquely yours, and I’m here to walk with you as you navigate it.
