Insurance & affordable care Information
Find answers to commonly asked questions about insurance and affordable care options
All IIPC providers accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Aetna Student Health, CampusCare, Cigna, Cigna HMO, and First Health. Some providers accept Medicare and Optum/ United Healthcare providers. Be sure to confirm with your provider what insurance they are able to accept.
Before scheduling an initial appointment we ask all potential clients to send your therapist a copy of the front and back of your insurance ID card and the front and back of your state ID. Common formats you can use are JPG or PDF. Our Benefits Coordinator will verify your benefits, copays, any deductibles and your financial responsibility before your first visit.
For out-of-network clients we provide monthly invoices which can be submitted to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement based on your insurance company’s policies. Please contact your insurance company about your plan’s benefits.
Absolutely! We accept Flexible Healthcare Spending Accounts and debit cards.
Yes. We understand that therapy must be accessible and affordable for it to work and we know that we could never determine what is “affordable” and “accessible” for anyone else. We utilize a pay-what-you-can-afford model. We expect clients to pay as much as they can afford so that we can make this model as sustainable and as far-reaching as possible. Please discuss your financial needs with Intake and your therapist. Not all therapists have pay-what-you-can-afford availability, but we will work to find you a therapist who can meet your needs.
