ABOUT ME:
My joy in being a therapist is to encourage and assist my clients to live their life broadly rather than just "getting by." My focus is working with communities of color, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, survivors of abuse, and neurodivergence. I began my career working with neurodivergent children and have found it rewarding to work with adults who have been recently diagnosed.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Law and Society and Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. I have a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family therapy and a Doctorate of Education from Argosy University. My dissertation explored eating disorders in African American women. It has been my passion to look at eating disorders from a multicultural lens and recognizing how this can impact all communities.
Social justice and mental health are highly intersectional and I encourage these conversations in the therapeutic space. In using humor, care, and a collaborative approach, I work to help my clients feel empowered and secure in their ability to navigate life.
