ABOUT ME:
I’m a Queer, Non-Binary therapist with a working-class background, roots in the arts and academia, and a longstanding commitment to social justice and Buddhist practice. These lived experiences shape how I show up in the therapy space, just as yours shape how you show up.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years as an actor, teaching artist, and university professor. That work taught me how to attune to human behavior and how deeply our environments shape the ways we relate to ourselves and others. It also grounded my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the transformative power of intentional connection.
I carry this with me into the therapy room — a sensitivity to story, a respect for each person’s process, and a belief in the healing potential of collaborative work. In many ways, therapy can feel like a rehearsal space: a place to explore, experiment, reflect, and revise without judgment or pressure. Together, we’ll look at what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what feels most authentic so you can move through the world with more clarity and intention.
My clinical work often lives at the intersection of trauma, identity, and self-discovery. While I work with people across a range of identities and experiences, my practice centers LGBTQIA+ clients, with a particular focus on transgender and gender-expansive individuals. Prior to Inclusive Insight, I worked in a hospital setting as a therapist embedded within a gender affirmation clinic, as well as for a mental health non-profit as a crisis counselor.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago.
